In the year 1981 I got my first employment as an electronic engineer, placed in Stockholm.

This was kind of a problem, for I was still living in Norrköping and had to commute weekly.

So, for almost 3 years there was no music for me. This situation changed in 1984 when I got a job in Norrköping and could join the band “Jawas”.

The band was already active for some 10 years and had been playing only in weekends, which did suit me perfectly.

With different crews, "Jawas" was active until 2001 and when playing on the millennium party, the band could celebrate about 30 years of existence.

Unfortunately, there are not many recordings from Jawas and no gramophone records at all.

However, at the end of the eighties, "Jawas" members came on a whole different track, producing and manufacturing "karaoke" bands. With recording equipment and computer software we managed to produce 5 video bands and 3 CDs, where music and text was synchronized.

The product did get good response and was proclaimed by the Swedish newspaper "Aftonbladet" to be the Christmas Gift of 1992.

During the times that the recordings equipment were available it has been tested by some temporary visitors.

The result of those recordings is presented here. They are nice memories for all involved.
